The 1st and the 2nd February 2020 was held in Varese the 2nd Regional GPG championship and Scherma Bresso celebrates the first regional champ of season 2020: Elisa Chinnici winning the category Ragazze-Allieve Epee competition gets the regional title, congratulations to our athlete and her Coach Filippo Massone.
As usual, many Bresso Boys and Girls participated with great results and following Elisa’s victory, seven athletes got podiums and the final.
In the foil Ragazzi-Allievi category, Gabriele Villa conquers the bronze and Simone Pezzuto is seventh, Giacomo Campana 11, Riccardo Diazzi 15, Gabriele Tirrito 22, Luca Lattuada 39 and Edoardo Mignanego 47. Among girls seventh place for Valentina Izzo while Sveva Accorrà stops before the final with the 11th place. In Giovanissimi Alessandro Tentori ends under the 4 podium with a fifth-place while Flavio Perego, same as Sveva, ends’11th; Federico Arioli is 14th and Luca Nostri 19. Enea Carnovali, Maschietti category, doesn’t hit the final, ending 9th, Marco Michieletti 14 and Giorgio Evangelisti 24.
Foil calls and Epee answers back: in Ragazzi-Allievi category Edoardo Scavone is sixth, Federico Casella is 9th one step before the final and Ludovico Dutto 19th. Among Giovanissimi another podium: Cristian Divittini is third and team-mate Mattia Iodice fifth. A special mention for Caterina Volpini debuting in Giovanissime category after few days of fencing and getting the 20th place. Lucas Cavaliere, Maschietti, doesn’t conquer the final ending 11th, Federico Scazzosi is 19 and Matteo Bonalumi 40.
Very many ended their competition only one step before the final, don’t give up! Today things didn’t go as you wished but starting tomorrow, let’s get again on the pistes to have fun and improve. Congratulations to all our athletes and all the coaching staff for the support.
